But yowser! 60 calories, I'm totally looking for them! And the yoplait's are kinda pricey too, 1.19 ea. last time I checked.

Hi Geosomin!, Love your list.
I'm definitlely adding the smoothie-ish sounding one to my list. Lately I've been doing a version of Karen's--dry roasted unsalted almonds. I'm a daily reader who's never commented before, but I wanted to share some of my great snack ideas, too!

One of my favorite breakfasty snacks is a whole wheat toaster waffle (Kashi makes a great one) with cottage cheese piled on top (sounds weird, but TRUST me...). Peanut butter does a lovely job as well! Also, try scooping some cottage cheese onto a warm and toasty whole wheat english muffin. A great way to sneak in some fiber and A LOT protein without investing many calories... My ideas are NOT original...but I do know for snacks you need to make them a "good" carb & a protein.
For instance...today I brought lowfat string cheese & grapes for my snacks. Some times I bring a piece of whole wheat, low sugar bread w/ 1 tbs p butter. If I am at home, I really like apples & natural peanut butter, but that's too much trouble (to me) to mess with at work:) If I'm in a pinch, I will do a 140 calorie South Beach bar (I try not to do those too often though) I personally try to keep my snacks around 150 cals.

LorieINeedAVacationhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/17007106724219986159noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4273626551966856778.post-20273967930511953382007-07-23T07:19:00.000-07:002007-07-23T07:19:00.000-07:00Redenbacher's Caramel Popcorn cakesA big organic F...Redenbacher's Caramel Popcorn cakes
A big organic Fuji apple
Ritz + peanut butter
Dreyer's fruit popsicles
100-cal granola bar
light Pringles
Pita chips + a wedge of Laughing Cow cheese (light!)

the list goes on and on... I used to just eat microwave popcorn (the 94% ff kind, I think, is really good and with sprayed with a little bit of butter spray and a few shakes of salt, definitely hit the salty spot -- or if the sweet spot needed to be hit, kettle corn was great).

I finally bought a popcorn popper - the West Bend Stir Crazy popcorn popper, and that is my snack almost every single day. I use 1 tsp of EVOO, 1/3 cup of kernels, and pop away. It is SO good, SO filling, SO healthy, and has SO much fiber!

I seriously crave it...JessiferSeabshttp://www.blogger.com/profile/02011040052433366321noreply@blogger.com
