Katie - You made me cry with that one. I'm feeling a little bit funky emotionally today due to work stress and that totally got to me. That song with that footage is just what I needed today.
I totally thought the guy in the hat had it until the very last minute! Amazing! How you can do an entire triathalon and still pour it on like that at the end is incredible! Must have been running on adrenaline at that point. I'll have to remember that the last little bit of my next 5K!
I would love to know what that feels like to 1. Complete a Tri, 2. Cross the finish line first and 3. run a 4 minute mile. Oh if only I wasn't so lazy.
Wow! I had to watch it twice. I was so focused on the guy in blue, I didn't notice the other one until he passed and won. A classic case of "who wants it more?"!
I run to that song! I'll never come close to winning, but I WOULD like to know what it feels like to pass some folks in that last stretch, though. Usually, I got nothing left at that point!
scrumpy, I'm so glad you liked it! (and sorry about the work stuff...)
lucas, "How you can do an entire triathalon and still pour it on like that at the end is incredible!" I KNOW.
chels915, Yeah, I want to know what those feel like too...without all the work!
donna, " I had to watch it twice. I was so focused on the guy in blue, I didn't notice the other one until he passed and won." same here. The first time I watched it I was all, "oh no. oh no. oh no. he's not. he IS NOT GOING TO WIN! AAAH!!"
There's little that can compare to being at the end of a race, feeling like you've given your all, but then digging DEEP within yourself and pouring on something extra, even for just the last 30 seconds! Give it a try on your next race. Especially if there is someone just ahead of you...it feels great to pass them at the last second! Makes you feel like you've won the Olympics or something! I'm definitely not a good runner but there is just something about realizing you have within yourself than you thought you had!
We're Katie and Molly. Just a couple of sisters who would like to be smaller. Katie is 27 and trying to lose the rest of her postpartum weight. Molly isn't 27 and would like to lose about 30 pounds all together. Neither of us have ever been a size 6 and we're curious. Can we do it? Stay tuned! We post at least once daily.
Although we weigh-in every Friday, we have chosen to measure our progress publicly by pants size rather than pounds. Both of us use weights on a regular basis and find our actual weight doesn't always match the changes we see in our body. Katie is 15.7 pounds down (size 8), Molly is down 15.2 (size ?) We are both well on our way!

ok, now you're making me want to go back and watch it again. I can't remember...did I want to cry?...
That's one of my all time favorite videos. Everytime I watch it I think it's absolutely incredible.
holy crap katie. *CHILLS* bookmarking that one.
What an AWESOME video!
Nice.
all i could think was, that song is sooo making my next playlist! i will mentally link it to that video forever.
Sorry, that does NOTHING for me! Except maybe make me feel a little tired!
Oh- and it reminded me of throwing up when we had to run lines during basketball practice! Wish I loved running... but... well... not so much!
I got tired just watching that! I really thought that guy was gonna win. I almost felt bad for him!
Um, first of all, I never realized what a badass song that was. Second, that video kicked serious ass. Makes me want to go run again.
