I bought a new scale today! At Costco, they have a Weight Watchers scale for only $27.99. My old scale only weighed by 1/2 lb increments and this one measures by .2 so I'm excited to have just that much more accuracy. Also, my old scale was psycho. It would tell you a different number every time you stepped on it - up to 5 lbs difference! I don't know, maybe somewhere deep in the back of my mind I think if I have a more accurate scale I could produce better numbers...
Katie called and asked me if I liked my new scale. Funny, I actually could say yes! I have never liked a scale! But at the time I was talking with her, I hadn't stepped on it yet. I just did and I have maintained since last week. Not bad considering I just had 20 people over for dinner last night.
I'll let you know how I like the WW scale. I have their food scale (which I totally LOVE) and I bought their points calculator for $12. In my opinion, light years ahead of the slider. I don't leave home without it when I'm grocery shopping. Definitely worth the $12.

i can't imagine weighing in on a scale without 0.2 increments lol!
Please keep us updated with the new scale. it looks rather interesting, and hopefully it doesn't make you feel as bad as the old one did. Does it do body fat also?
nice job with the maintaining. Each week is a battle. Are you digging Phit-n-Phat still?
I had the same problem with my old scale. It only showed full pounds, and I could step on it 3 times in a row and get different numbers. I was never very confident in what it was telling me.
I have had a weight watchers scale for the past couple of months and I love it. If I step on it two times in a row, it shows me exactly the same number. And the smaller weight increments are great; it is so motivating to see the small changes rather than staring at the same old whole number.
We bought the new WW scale about six weeks ago and I really like it.
It gives dependable readings and I find that it is VERY close to what I way at Weight Watchers so that is good.
I personally don't care for the food scale but I do like the Points Calculator.
Happy New Scale Molly! It's the little things in life that bring us joy.
I find it interesting how they always have such low numbers (your says 128.3?) on the scale picture. 1. Most people don't weigh that. 2. That is an unhealthy weight for many people..Grrrrr..
But congratulations on your new scale (and your maintenance)!
My scale does the same thing-it is an old WW scale I bought at a garage sale and it does 0.2 increments as well. But I can get up to a 3 or 4 pounds difference each time I get one, get off and get back on CRAZY! Guess I really should get a new one.
I have this scale. I always thought it was funny that the box has 128.3 on it, but it only weighs in .2 increments. Hmmmm.
That's a slick scale, AND a great price :O)
i LOVE my WW scale. Mine is slightly different but also weights in .2 increments, it also has teh water, body fat and muscle %. I blame it's greatness for my obssession with it, but it helps keep me honest.
Thanks for the info on the points calculator. I've contemplated it but didn't want to spend the money. Now I just might :)
