So I let you all know I was going to start the Phit-n-Phat training program. The reason I did was because I can't afford a trainer but I need to know what exercises to do with what. I just need someone to help coordinate my program.
Well, after spending about a week going over Corinne's exercise "bible" (literally 2 inches thick of material!) I have started! I have done one cardio workout and 2 weight lifting workouts. I even brought my binder to the gym. To be honest, I felt sort of silly doing it but I had to. Well, I first have to get used to her lingo - skull crushers - any idea what that is?! If you don't, she provides pictures of EVERYTHING she has you do. VERY informative. The workouts took me longer than planned just because I was trying to follow her plan. The workout was very good - I had a hard time walking the next day. That is a feeling I crave!
The cardio workout I thought looked relatively easy. It actually turned out to be a great workout. Different intervals on the treadmill. Basically set at the same pace but at different inclines. I did that for 30 minutes. Changing the incline often helped break up the monotony of just walking on a treadmill.
For me, I am very analytical with my workouts. I like to see improvement, the weights being used, how many times, speed increasing, etc. This program allows me to write everything down and actually see my improvement. So far, so good! I'll keep you posted...
By the way, Katie recommended Kashi Oatmeal. I got the Maple/Brown Sugar. I'm a texture freak with food so usually I shy away from lumpy, slushy, wet oatmeal. The gag reflex might start. I went out on a limb and tried it - I like it! I actually like it! I think the lumps of brown sugar I found was what made me so excited to eat it but I was able to conquer the texture. HUGE for me! And Andie (my baby) liked it!

I just started eating that this week too! I have the vanilla one with some kind of seed in it. But the protein and fiber count are crazy and I usually double my packets (300cals) and it keeps me full till lunch!
how much does this phit phat program cost? sounds awesome. Anything that gets me so sore it hurts to walk is something I want to try :-)
Molly - YAY! I am so excited for you. So glad you like the program.

I have that same texture thing. I cal it squishy, and I refuse to eat anything that falls into that category. I will have to see if I can handle that oatmeal. I know it it too good for me to keep skipping. Thanks for the tip!!
I admire you for gathering all the information, printing it out and doing it all on your own. That's some serious strength there sister. I need more structure or I fall apart. Best of luck with your workouts!
hey cara, I'm just popping in for molly,
pnp is 9.95/month for access to all the forums, workouts, and everything else. You can email me if you want more info!
I love skull crushers. They're great for the triceps, unless you slip and drop the weight on your head (hence the name!). Keep us posted on your progress -- weight training makes such a difference, not just in the look of your body, but in your metabolism, too.
Yay Molly! Good for you,I am just getting back into it too,and even though it is hard it does feel good to work hard and be sore, reminds me there actually are muscles under there;)
Sounds like a nice workout! Keep us posted on the results!
Nice work on the PNP progress! I'm so analytical about these things too. I tried to wing it at the gym the other day and thought, NO I must write it down!
Good job! Isn't it nice to remember how GOOD exercise can feel? My whole day (diet included) just seems to go better when I exercise first thing.
I am very proud of you...keep it up!
Sounds really cool, Molly!
Good for you!!! I will be anxiously awaiting how you enjoy it as you go.
