I told you all that I was joining Phit n' Phat. I am still very excited. First of all, you need to print out over and inch of material and my printer doesn't work. Katie was out of ink so I've been waiting for her ink. I looked over her book but she keeps it pretty close to her for her workouts. And then, I've been out of town all week in Atlanta for a buying show (home decor & furniture) for my business. (Can you believe it? I put Christmas away at my home and I'm already buying for Christmas next year! Crazy! Anyone curious about the upcoming trends? Bright, fun colors ahead!) So I'm starting those workouts today.
Some good victory moments. Traveling is HARD. When I go to market, I walk from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. without stopping. No lunch break, no nothing! Pretty hardcore BUT you just munch on candy and chocolate at everyone's different venues. VICTORY - I brought food with me. I can't believe it. Fiber One's, granola, just some healthy munchies. Then, I ordered eggs from room service. I was pretty "in-check" with my eating. Not perfect, but better than any other year that I have attended.
Also, I brought a resistance band with me! WOW! This new year thing has me going! My husband totally laughed at me while I was doing some resistance training. (Not making fun of me but just laughing at all the different exercises I could pull out of my head - believe me, I could kick his butt!)
Atlanta has the world's largest escalator. Serious, I swear it's like 10 stories. Well, I made my husband and I walk down it ( I know, I know, Bob the trainer would of made me walk UP it, but since he wasn't there, I just walked down it). I believe there was 165 stairs. Once again, my husband thought that I had a screw or two loose but he was good to do it with me). Everyday, there we were, humming the Rocky song and doing the stairs.
Have any of you read the new People magazine? Very inspiring! I read it on the plane ride home. Different people and their weight loss stories. BIG WEIGHT LOSS. And, there was a section on the blogging world of weight loss! Anyways, I suggest it for reading. If nothing else, you will have a PERFECT day of eating right and exercising! It will totally inspire you!
So, probably won't be posting a loss this week, but it will be a victory for maintaining while traveling (especially with my husband who loves free food!)

Molly,
Congrats on fighting the good fight while out of town. I know how hard that can be! I have a trip coming up myself but that's no reason for me to not work out and make good food choices! I'll be packing workout gear and a positive attitude! Thanks for the inspiration.
Congrats!I think staying on track away from home is so hard, especially if you have a hubby who is a big eater, mine is a bad influence...Glad you are back, and loved the whipped cream pics from the party,so funny!
wow, you seemed to do great while traveling! Woo hoo!
Way to go, you have a lot of will power to be able to resist all the munchies!
all those little steps add up, keep up the good work :)
That is a definate travel victory. My work travel season starts in about a month and goes until April. Last year I did good, so I'm hoping I can keep it up this year.
It's good to have you back. It sounds like you had a pretty good trip. That was smart to take resistance bands! I am always so busy figuring out which clothes to take that I forget stuff like that.
Taking your own food is also helpful. I did that on our trip to San Antonio in December. All was well until my husband found the stash of Fiber 1 bars on our 2nd night there and ate all of them!
Oh well...I did my best and it sounds like you did the same.
Congrats on the loss while being away from home. You are my hero!
I'm so impressed! I start a big cross-country travel project in a few weeks (will probably run 3-6 months, traveling Mon-Thurs), and I'm really nervous about what will happen to my weight loss. Sounds like you've goten it figured out!
I might know which escalator you're talking about...was it down to a Marta station? Yay for you for bringing a resistance band! I'm currently trying to think of ways to make exercise easier on the road. I may look into that!
I can totally picture you working out with your resistance band in the hotel room while your hubby laughs...that's exactly how Gordon would be. How fun that he got to come with you!
Great job maintaining while traveling! Market and any type of conference thing is the worst. They are always feeding you.
Glad you're back.
Welcome back! Great job staying positive and not giving into the "fat girl thinking" while you were traveling. I travel weekly with work, and understand how difficult it can be when there is nothing but fast food and junk at your fingertips.
I think that is awesome, Molly! Also, why does everyone else have a cooler job than I do? :)
