Cookie Dough Coming Out Of My Ears!

[Molly] Oh My Heavens! Fourteen 7 yr olds coming over for Belguim Waffles and making sugar cookies to decorate...AM I NUTS???!! It's my daughter's birthday & I made 6 batches of sugar cookie dough! My #1 weakness is cookie dough! Homemade frosting, waffles, syrup, GIVE ME STRENGTH! So, I taped my mouth. I cannot wear tape during the party though - so wish me luck! I'll get back to you...I might just take Katie's 1.3 pounds over to me!

That is the best picture ever! I am sending you strength vibes, I can relate, had my now 3 yr old daughter's b day 12/18, all of my Christmas baking the last 2 weeks, and my soon to be 5 yr old son's bday is 12/30. TOO MANY GOODIES! I have done well so far amazingly enough. We decorated cookies yesterday and I ate 1 which was my afternoon snack with coffee. It was actually very satisfying. Hope the party goes great!

wow, this post/pic. just made my day. completely illustrates just how difficult and somewhat pathetic it can be to not eat that crap ;) i can totally relate. cookie dough is a major weakness. what is the big deal though? break it down, it's all a choice we make. u know the outcome of eating it but yet, you still want it!!! it's so satisfying but so is not eating it. lol. i could go back and forth forever...self-control! i'll be thinking of this picture over the holidays. thank you, i love reading this blog! :D

Great solution to temptation! Bet it works well keeping you from saying things you shouldn't at holiday parties as well!

What a good idea! I sure could have used that when I was making 30 big bags of carmel popcorn! (I still have about 10 more to make...)
Even despite the nibbling of the carmel-y goodness, I still managed to lose a pound so I guess I didn't eat as much as I thought!
Good luck with the party...you are my hero!

Too funny, I love that picture! I hope you survived.

Ahhh cookie dough. I always thought it didn't count unless it was actually a baked cookie, that it's "raw" form was like a freebie ;)
