A Little Friendly Competition

I called my mom today and she started telling me of a great idea that they are doing at their CURVES. Today and tomorrow, anyone that wants to can put into the pot $25. Then, from now until the week of Thanksgiving the race is on as to who can be the biggest loser! Then, whoever wins gets 1/2 of the pot. There will be another weigh-in right after Christmas. What a great idea! Why? It gets you through the holidays! Maybe you're like me but I am definitely money-motivated or maybe it's just the competitive spirit in me kicking in (in a nice way that is...). How great - instead of congratulating each other for being winners, we'll be congratulating each other for being big losers! (You might not see the humor in this - sorry, it's late and I'm punchy!)

I know just thinking about going into the holiday season gives me hives because I feel like I'm behind on where I want to be. But I just thought this was such a great idea. I know a lot of you have got the Christmas Challenge, it's just too bad we couldn't have a sisterskinny pot! Anyways, I'm telling you about this to help your minds start thinking of smething that you might be able to do with your friends, sisters, people at the gym - anyone that might be interested in a friendly game to help each other through the holidays. The monetary pot could really be anything-just working towards a goal I think is key. Kate probably wouldn't promote the whole "competition" thing. But I am. Some of us are just wired like that.

Anyways, thanks for the idea mom - we're cheering you on! You go mom!

What a great idea! Good luck to your mom. $$ is always a good motivator for me. :)
