Katie: Let's start with the good news shall we?
The first shot is me busting out of my 10's a couple weeks after we started the blog (funny, I took the picture and thought, hey! not bad Katie!)
The second shot I took last night fitting very comfortably into my 8's.
Nice to see progress, it's motivating me toward those 6's. And sorry for the cropped midsection shot, it's just where you can see the most difference.
*Are you wondering if I saw Lindsay Lohan this week?
I did! On Wednesday I went to the gym (I even forgot my iPod! So sticking around to workout anyway was a minor victory for me), and there she was! She started out on the treadmill and then went to the back of the gym and was doing some ball exercises with a friend. Not exactly a thrilling report but it was still fun to see her.
*Biggest Loser: Loved most of it but was a bit bugged by the whole vindictive vengeful feel of the black team. They acted so bitter to the blue and red teams. Any yeah, I'm sure a lot was producers and editing, it just bothered me the way they had something to prove. I don't think the blue and red teams necessarily WANTED them to go home. They just happened to be the ones picked. I think you can be all bad and black team and unified and workin your butt off without having to push someone else down to be on top (but of course, this goes against most of the premise of the show). As for the trainers, I thought Jillian was great but Bob's still my fav.
*Now onto the linkage.
Oooo, this is a good one folks. I've known about this blog for a little while and Mrs. Furious has commented here now and then. But the other night I went and visited again-this time a little more thoroughly, and it dawned me. This is a FREAKING AWESOME BLOG. There are recipes, some awesome before and after shots, funny kid moments, and even some inspiration. I mean, she's so funny it makes me mad (look at her labels). So go check her out and be sure to say hi, I know she'd appreciate it! (Oh yeah, and she's a respond-to-comments blogger too...)
*And now, hoping that you're long gone enjoying Mrs. Furious, I will share my weigh-in. I GAINED 1.5 pounds this week! I owe it to going to the gym 5 times this week (at least I met that goal) and trying to tighten up my eating. And let me just say how thrilled I am (can you see me rolling my eyes?). I'm thinking maybe since my appetite came back so forcefully when I returned to the gym, I unconsciously overcompensated with my eating. Boo-hoo. What a start to the Christmas Challenge! Oh well, I'm really motivated for next week.
Molly: I kept saying I was going to get back on track when the kids went back to school and I just couldn't fully commit. Well, my I saw my friend & neighbor Rosanna in skinny jeans. She has been plugging away at her weight loss for 1 yr. 1/2 there & there. Well, even though I see her daily, it wasn't until I saw her in some tight jeans that it really hit me. SHE LOOKS MARVELOUS! It was what I needed to kick my bigger booty back in gear. I have been walking everyday with my baby and I started going back to counting points. I have to say, down .8 for the week!
I think what is so mentally hard is that weight loss IS really about changing habits. It's not that I'm sitting around eating bon-bons it's just that I get lazy with my habits. It feels like when I'm doing weightwatchers, even though I think it's such an easy plan to follow, I feel like I'm on "guard" should we say? Also, the planning. It's just one more thing that my mind has to think about. When you have so many other things going on in your life, it's just one more "thing". I guess it is about priorities.
It feels good to have .8 behind me! It's not that I've gained a TON back (although some did creep back on) my body has turned to mush. I guess it's going to be me and Lindsey Lohan fighting for the treadmill. I don't care who she is, I will walk a little faster than her to get to it first!

WOW! What a HUGE difference in your progress pics. Good for you! You look amazing in those 8s.
I can't believe you can even workout with Lilo in the same buidling. Honestly it's not like I'm a huge fan of her but I would definitely be staring at her the whole time and trying to talk to her and get her to be my friend haha.
Don't get down about you're gain. It just means you'll see a bigger loss next week.
Christmas Challenge starts today! How's that for motivation?
I always gain weight when I get back into an exercise routine ... and I just tell myself that muscle weighs more than fat, and that muscles are built more easily than fat is burned. So it will take a while to actually lose weight. Right. It may or may not be true, but it makes me feel better!
I say take a gain if that's what you get for going the gym 5 times. Maybe it's muscle. Maybe it's some weird gain before a loss. You know going to the gym will make you smaller. I'm facing the same thing and I've convinced myself it's muscle. (gained 1.8 lbs!) I'm not giving up my classes that's for sure!
Besides, if it's just water or something, we'll be even awesomer losers next week when it's on the challenge.

Carolyn, Thanks! I was TOTALLY staring at her the whole time. It's easy on Satan though because I'm like 4 feet above everyone anyway. And yeah, although I wasn't excited about it to begin with, I'm pretty glad I joined the Chirstmas Challenge.

You look great! Way to go. I agree with the other comments, going back to the gym always makes me go up before I come back down. Just think though, with that extra muscle you've got you'll burn more calories more quickly now. That's a good thought, right? Right. Cute jeans. Lookin' trim and slim. :) Oh, and that's insane that you saw her at the gym. I'd totally be copying her workout. hehe.

Yay Katie!! Taylor called me in here so that I could see how good you looked. Is that creepy because he's your cousin? Yeah, a little bit, huh? :) But he's right!!! You are my inspiration. I'm still rockin the muffin top Warren gave me, and those kettle cooked potato chips I bought (mmmmmmm...) are going out today. Whether by eating the rest of the bag, or throwing them in the trash, I do not know. But something's gotta give.
