I didn't lose any weight this week.
Well, if you can call .1 a loss then woo-hoo!
At this rate, maybe I'll reach my goal when my kids graduate from high school! Ha!
Anyone else have a substantial loss out there and want to share?
I didn't do the best with my goals (obviously) so I'm posting them again this week:
-Show at least a one pound loss by next Friday
-Go to bed early at least 5 nights a week.
-Don't eat my kid's food.
I think for a kickstart I might reward myself once I hit the 130's. I tend to get stuck in the low 140's, well I don't know if stuck is the right word, maybe "comfortable." The only time I was ever in the 130's was on the way up. (What was that... 7th grade?)
So for a reward I'm thinking new swimsuit. I posted earlier on one that I really liked but I've found a couple more...and probably will look at a bazillion before I actually purchase one! I found this one at Poppi Swimwear.
I love the idea of a retro swimsuit, and I do like this one, but I'm not sure if it gives off the old lady vibe. Thoughts?
Molly: Well, this is the 1st weigh in since the cruise. I'm up 3.4 lbs. To be honest, I'm surprised its not 10. I'll take it. Another week down, another one starting. New fresh week. That's what I'm talking about...

i think it looks chic' i believe graphical and flower prints are in right now....at least i think they are...lol!
i have to say, i think the print of the suit does give off an "old lady vibe." i like that exact suit, but in the lime hibiscus print instead. i know what you mean about the last time you were in the 130s was on the way up. i too have a similar experience. the last time i was in the 130s was in 9th grade i believe. but in the last couple of years i've been able to get back to the 130s. my comfortable weight is the high 130s and i just can't seem to break the 120s, which is my goal. i'm down to the low 130s now, though, so i'm on my way! good luck to you in your weight loss endeavors! i know you can do it!
I just found your weight loss blog and I love it. I am the queen of the .2 lb. weight loss. It was very frustrating for me last year when I scored yet another .2 and it seemed like everyone around me lost 2 or 3 or 5 lbs. in a given week. When I had lost 25 lbs., another woman in my WW meeting had lost 35, and she started 2 months after me! The only thing I can say is that the program works, and any small losses will add up in a big way in the end. I've lost 40 lbs. and have been at lifetime since March. Many of the people from my WW meeting who posted big losses have unfortunately dropped out. As long as you make more good decisions than bad, you're going to do well.
Kind of old lady. But hey, maybe that's the look you're going for. I don't know just how old you are anyway...I also like the retro suits, but only the top or the bottom can be retro, the other has to be more revealing. I picturing the more coverage bottom with low cut halter in a black with white polka dot.
Keep plugging away at the scale. It's harder for our bodies to go where they've never been before (growing up doesn't count). It might be slow going but keep pushing! you wanna wear that suit before you are a granny! (sorry if I come across as totally cruel. I reread that and I sound mean! notice I'm not taking it back though...) :)
I think given cruises, 4th of July holidays, Motivation Crises and other good reasons for struggling, both you did well to just keep from gaining a bunch. Now you're back on track and eating healthy again, so it's a good idea to just forget about last week and start fresh.
And I love Amy's comment about how those .2's can add up! I do think that's the way to go for the long haul anyway--slow and steady. Like she said, lots of the "biggest losers" burn out and give up later.
lady t- thanks for your input..."at least i think they are..." -that's how I feel!
Whitney (I'm assuming you're not ben) Welcome! Thanks for your opinion, I wasn't sure whether to put up this one or the green hibiscus one, I'm not even sure if this cut would be the most flattering...
Good luck with the 120's! Thanks for visiting!
Amy- Thanks! We're glad you found us!
I totally laughed at this: "queen of the .2 lb weight loss" I (obviously) totally sympathize! And that is SO great to hear that you've lost 40 and kept it off! Thanks also for the encouragement.
randi, you crack me up every time you leave a comment! No, I'm not exactly going for "old lady" lol! The more I see the suit, the more I think one has got to be really stunning to pull something like that off. And NO, you didn't come across as cruel. I appreciate honest feedback. Good luck with your WI.
Crabby, thanks! Eventually we've got to show some losses though! It's quite annoying to come back week after week with no results.
Any weight loss whether it be .1 or 3lbs is still a loss and still a step closer to your goal. So Yeah!!! As well, gaining only 3.4lbs when you expected a 10lb gain because of a cruise is a huge accomplishment too. It means that you were conscious of what your eating and activity level while on the boat. If you hadn't been aware, that 3.4lbs might have been 13lbs which is real easy with all those buffets and cocktail bars.
Good job ladies. Keep it going!
Stephanie, Thanks for coming by!
ooo, could you even imagine? 13 pounds? You're totally right, it puts that 3.4 in perspective eh Mol? :)
For some reason, I am so sluggish. I am not motivated to do anything right now... but I am going exercising tomorrow. Baby steps, baby steps, I'm all about baby steps.
I love that swimsuit! That looks absolutely lovely with a touch of 'high class'. :)
I found your blog through fat fighters, and I really like it here. Nicely done.
I love the suit! I think it is retro chic and super trendy.
